Sataraš Quartet (pronounced SAH – tah – rash) is an Atlanta jazz band playing originals, Balkan tunes, otherworldly blues, and rarely-played jazz covers. Sataraš the dish is a traditional Balkan vegetable stew – it tastes great regardless of how many ingredients are thrown in. Sataraš the band is recognizably Jazz with a capital J, but it’s unlike anything you’ve ever heard before. Their music features odd time signature tunes like 7/8, 9/8, 5/8, blues, original jazz and cover jazz tunes that nobody ever plays – all with varied textures and styles but with unity of purpose. They have been a part of the Atlanta music scene (and beyond!) for many years.
Sataraš is:
Edin (Eddie) Beho – guitar
Colin Bragg – bass, synths
Jeff Crompton – saxophone, clarinet, keyboard
Blake Helton – drums
Showtimes: 7:30pm and 9:30pm
