LARRY WILSON is a Cleveland, Ohio native but grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He began his love affair with music at the tender age of 3—playing the drums in church. He began his formal education in music at Landon Middle School for the Performing Arts, later Lavilla Middle School of the Arts. He attended high school at the prestigious Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and went on to attend the Florida State School of Music where he majored in Jazz Studies.

Larry has shared his gift of music abroad, visiting the countries of Spain, France, Ireland, the United Kingdom, the Bahamas, and more. He has also performed with many notable Jazz musicians and artists; some of which include Theo Crocker, Jamison Ross, Marcus Roberts, and many more. He has also appeared with remarkable artists in other genres such as Jennifer Holiday, Kirk Franklin, and Tye Tribbett.

His collaborations in gospel music have resulted in Stellar Awards, Rhythm of Gospel Awards and many Billboard charting releases.  Larry has also participated on Grammy-nominated projects that include Dorinda Clarke-Cole’s Living It.  His debut album, No Secrets No Lies, was released in May 2016 and garnered critical acclaim from all over the world.  It was nominated in the first-round ballot of the 60th Grammy awards for “Best Jazz Instrumental Album”. His sophomore album entitled Our Thing is a tribute to the music and recordings of the great Joe Henderson.

He is the co-founder of The Cloud Music, LLC and the founder of Truth Music Productions and Sessions Lane Studios. Larry also serves as musical director for many artists and bands around the country. As a producer, musician, and engineer, Larry has over 40 album credits to his name, and counting.
