The Bob Bakert Jam Band

On many Thursday nights throughout the year, Bob Bakert has taken the stage at the Velvet Note and lead the band with highly charged renditions of audience’s favorite songs –many of which are from the mid to late 60s by classic bands like the Animals, Eagles, Beatles, Spencer Davis, Buffalo Springfield, Santana, Cream, Clapton, Neil Young, Hendrix and others.

Bob Bakert has been classically trained on both guitar and vocals. He has also spent time in the jazz studies program at Georgia State Univeristy as well as over 30 private teachers spanning decades. After over 50 years of performing in front of audiences of all kinds Bob’s emphasis is on having fun with his music and creating a feel good, have a great time, for the audience.

In this special performance, Bob’s “jam” band includes extremely accomplished really enjoy each others company personally and musically. It shows from the first down beat and smiles on their faces.
