Justin Varnes and his Jazz Legacy Project will guide guests–in engaging, narrative form– through the life of this legendary trumpeter, and the live performance of his studio album released in 1958 with Miles’ “first great quintet”. It’s like taking in a concert and taking a jazz history class at the same time.
