Formerly, Karla also made headlines for her character “Maya Avant Forrester” on CBS’s Emmy Award winning daytime drama series “The Bold and The Beautiful”. Her portrayal earned her a 2014 NAACP Image Award Nominee and she accepted 3 GLAAD Awards on behalf of the show for her role in a groundbreaking storyline.
