An emerging talent in the Atlanta Jazz scene, Xina Marie (pronounced Christina Marie) is a classically trained vocalist of West Indian descent, who embodies the spirit of Peggy Lee combined with the vocal range of Ella Fitzgerald. Xina Marie studied classical vocal performance at the Bak Middle School Of the Arts, proceeded by the Alexander W. Dreyfoos Jr. School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida, and has continued her education under Lynn Sandefur at the Santa Fe College of Fine Arts in Gainesville, Florida. She has headed a variety of musical outfits, including the Brazilian Press Award Winning Band, ‘Maca Reggae Samba’ (recipient of the 2016 award for Best Brazilian Band in the United States), and – alongside Dan Steph- currently heads a blues group called, ‘Ramblin Mutts’, two-time winner of the North Central Florida Blues Society International Blues Challenge.
