Ryon started playing the guitar and drums at the age of 11 to figure out which one he would appreciate more. By age 13, he found himself appreciating an entirely different instrument … the saxophone.
He officially started his career at the age of 19, through the opportunity of playing with national recording jazz artist Eric Darius at Seabreeze Jazz Festival — one of the largest Jazz festivals in the world. This landed the attention of many talented professionals in the jazz industry including Brian Culbertson to name a few. His musical influences are Prince, Grover Washington, Boney James, Eric Darius, Earth, Wind & Fire, Kirk Whalum, Brian Culbertson, and Trombone Shorty.
“I want to show the young generation there is more than hip-hop for us. I want to be the crossover appeal to where they can just appreciate good music!”
