Legends of Jazz Presents the Music of McCoy Tyner

The Justin Varnes Quartet plays tribute to the music of McCoy Tyner.

As with the entire Legends of Jazz series, Mr. Varnes will guide guests–in engaging, narrative form– through the life of this legendary pianist,  as well as the impact that his life influences have had on his musical legacy.   In this show, audiences will find out about the extraordinary life, including his working relationships with Benny Golson and John Coltrane.  It’s like taking in a concert and taking a jazz history class at the same time, and…, oh… they’ll also play their behinds off!
