Atlanta area artists J-Mood are a superb group of classic jazz players specializing in styles of the 40s, 50s and 60s. The core band consists of keyboard wizard and producer John Carrozza, seasoned bassist Joe Reda, veteran percussionist Jon Chalden and vocal siren Jennifer Carrozza. John Carrozza relocated to Atlanta from Florida in 1992 to work as a musician, producer and arranger for Twelve Oaks Studios. He has released a solo album called “Defining Moment”, recorded a feature piano part on Boyz II Men’s platinum album, “Evolution” and worked with Grammy winning guitar phenom Earl Klugh.Chicago native, Joe Reda, is at home playing funky electric bass or swinging an upright. He is a graduate of Millikin University and has studied at Chicago’s Bloom School of Jazz. Mr. Reda currently works with numerous jazz artists in Atlanta including, to name a few, J-Mood, The Ruperts Orchestra, and the Jennifer Hanson Quartet.Josh Crosby the percussionist for JMood, is also the lead audio engineer at The University of North Georgia College. Josh is experienced in many forms of drumset styles, orchestral percussion, marching percussion, latin & ethnic percussion. He is an accomplished percussion arranger and currently arranges percussion scores for many Georgia high schools and colleges thru out the year. Josh has played drums for Brown’s Bridge Community Church, North Point Community Church, percussion for The Cherokee Choral, and occasionally sits in with the David Brothers Band.Jennifer Carrozza has been a full-time professional vocalist since 1997. Proudly an Atlanta native, she has released three solo projects, most recently “Rust & Velvet” and has fronted J-Mood since it’s beginning in 2002. She has provided vocals for countless independent recordings, and several have been label and national release projects. Jen has a voice that draws you into the moment, much like an object drawn into a painting.
