Get your weekend popping’ with a fun, soulful Friday night! J. Ira is a local vocalist that delivers a sound that will wow a crowd instantly. Hailing from the small town of Douglas located outside of Atlanta, Georgia, J.Ira grew up singing in his church choir. His sound radiated throughout the sanctuary and into the hearts of the congregation and from there he knew that a career in music was his calling. For this stunning performance, J. Ira will be covering the music of the Philadelphia Soul style, including Al Greene, Teddy Pendergrass and Donny Hathaway.
After graduating from Coffee County High School J. Ira attained his Bachelors of Arts degree in musical performance from the illustrious Talladega College. During his time at Talladega he not only performed with an all male quartet and the college choir, he also was an active member of both Delta Omicron Music Fraternity and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.
Upon the completion of college, J.Ira decided to diversify himself and his career and held several acting roles in Black Voices (2012) , Unbreakable Faith (2012) , A Soulful Christmas (2013) , and It’s Never Too Late (2013), The Cotton Club Review (2019). As J.Ira continues to grow in this industry he remains humble and steadfast and does not take lightly the role that God, his family, friends, and support system play in his life and journey towards being one of the most recognizable names in the industry.
