A NEW SERIES HAS BEGUN! The Velvet Note presents its eight series of Legends of Jazz, starting off with Sonny Stitt Sits In with Oscar Peterson.

As with the entire monthly Legends of Jazz series, The Justin Varnes Quartet will guide guests–in engaging, narrative form– through the life of these great American jazz artists.    It’s like taking in a concert and taking a jazz history class at the same time, and…, oh… they’ll also play their behinds off!
