SHOWTIMES: 7:30 and 9:30pm. Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Toni Byrd sang with the Grammy‑nominated choir Billy Rivers and The Angelic Voices of Faith, which nurtured her vocal technique and stage confidence.
In the mid‑1990s she performed in community plays and joined musical groups like Trio Plus, eventually transitioning to full-time vocalist roles.
Winner of the 2014 Black Women In Jazz Award for Best Black Female Jazz Record, Autumn in New York. Semifinalist in the 2014 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition. Released a tribute album, Toni Sings Natalie, honoring the legacy of Natalie Cole. A versatile song stylist, Toni bridges jazz, R&B, pop, and gospel, often performing with duos, trios, big bands—even her own—and catering to corporate and private events.
Born and raised in Baltimore, Al Smith earned a Music Education degree from Morgan State University. He founded the Al Smith Jam Session in Atlanta in 1998—now celebrating over 26 years as the city’s premier open‑mic and jam hub. Smith has worked with high-profile artists like Gloria Gaynor, Goodie Mob, Silk, Will Downing, Kim Waters, Layla Hathaway, Maysa, Kenny Lattimore, Chanté Moore, Howard Hewett, and more.
