A diamond with many facets, multi-talented drummer and vocalist Crystal Martin (aka “Mme. GoLong”) knew music would be her career of choice from the time she began playing for her church in Marietta, Georgia.

By the time she turned 17, her sophisticated poly-rhythms and versatile drumming skills had already taken her amongst popular artists and notable venues in the US and overseas.

Upon becoming the first female drummer for the famed group S.O.S. Band, Crystal took the industry by storm. In with the S.O.S Band she’s shared stages with Morris Day, Ohio Players, Bootsy Collins, Dazz Band, Con Funk Shun, Midnight Star, George Clinton, Shelia E. and more. Making television appearances, including The Mo’nique Show, Good Day Atlanta, and Good Morning Chicago.

Crystal was the session drummer on the World Music Awards duet performance featuring Ciara and 50cent (Just Cant Leave Him Lone). On her journey Crystal has became a solo artist and has also opened up for Howard Hewitt, Dead Prez, Talib Kweli, and Jim Jones. Crystal has just recently played the cruise ship, Holland America’s Nieuw Statendam Rolling Stone’s Rock Room.
