Don Braden is a renowned saxophonist, composer, arranger and highly experienced educator. Currently the Music Director of the Litchfield Jazz Camp, Braden has toured the world leading his own ensembles and as a sideman. After attending Harvard University where he studied engineering and played with the jazz ensemble, he went on to play with greats such as Betty Carter, Wynton Marsalis, Freddie Hubbard, Tony Williams and Roy Haynes. His imaginative yet technically excellent approach to improvisation creates a sound full of harmonic and rhythmic sophistication. His goal? To express a contemporary point of view in the powerful, spiritual, intelligent, and (most importantly) swinging Jazz style.
