Classic Duets with American Idol’s LaToya London & Eric Moore | The Velvet Note

Friday, August 22 – A two-show, intimate celebration of timeless duets—soul, jazz, and R&B—starring American Idol’s LaToya London with Atlanta’s Eric Moore.

“Timeless: A Soulful Evening of Classic Duets” brings two powerhouse vocalists to The Velvet Note for a night that blends velvet-smooth standards with feel-good R&B and modern soul. In our cozy listening room, every harmony lands like a conversation at your table—close, warm, and effortlessly musical.

LaToya London first captured America on Season 3 of American Idol, where her soaring range and emotional clarity placed her among the famed “Three Divas.” Since then, she’s shined across stages and studios—from her album Love & Life to acclaimed turns in The Color Purple (as both Nettie and Shug Avery) and The Bodyguard (as Rachel Marron). She’s a mentor and vocal coach, too, bringing the same authenticity and artistry that define her performances.

Eric Moore—Atlanta-born singer, actor, and musical director—has wowed audiences since 1986 with a chameleon-like voice that moves easily through jazz, gospel, hip-hop, and more. His stage credits stretch from Cotton Patch Gospel to Jesus Christ Superstar, Once on This Island, and Man of La Mancha, alongside appearances at major civic celebrations and televised events. Together, LaToya and Eric are a natural duet: elegant phrasing, magnetic chemistry, and songs you can hum all the way home.
