It all started with a shared idea by four immigrants to Atlanta: get people dancing with the best classic American soul melodies served on unwavering dance grooves. Drawing from all corners of the best classic and new r&b and soul – paths paved by Stax, Motown, Chess, Memphis, New Orleans, and Philly – Big Peaches strips everything down to the core of dancing rhythms and testifying blues. With decades of live experience between them, there is an unmatched swagger when they perform live. Erica Johnson’s soaring and soulful vocals are bolstered by veteran r&b players committed to the groove – the thump and fire of New York bassist Greg Kirkland and guitarist Rob Roth (of Soulhound), and the pocket drums of Dana Fitzsimons (of The Hot Club of Atlanta). The band gives audiences its shared vision of the universal cure – melody for the heart and beats for the booty. Big Peaches – sweet soul, tasty grooves. Now shut up and DANCE!
