Capturing the heart of audiences with her extensive repertoire in traditional jazz and bebop, Ashley creates an atmosphere of excitement that will transport you to another place and time. Her style is reminiscent of the great Anita O’Day and June Christy, and she performs with a level of maturity that is far beyond her years. At only 23 years old, Ashley has already performed with many Grammy award winning artists including Dave Holland, country music star Keith Urban, Internationally renowned singer Juanes, Jon Secada, Delfeayo Marsalis, and Arturo Sandoval.
Ashley continued to study music throughout high school and attended Miami Arts Charter School, a visual and performing arts charter school. In her time there, she was 1 of 8 vocalists in the nation selected to participate in the GRAMMY Jazz Ensembles (in 2013 and again in 2014) where she was given the opportunity to perform at Sphaghettini, the Official Grammy After Party, and the Official Grammy Nominee party. At only 16 years old Ashley performed on
national television with country star Keith Urban at the legendary American Country Awards for a viewing audience of over 5 million people. She was also named a YoungArts winner in the Jazz Voice category in 2013, and was named a YoungArts winner in the Popular Voice category in 2014.
Ashley’s debut album “We’ve Only Just Begun” is set to release on March 29th, 2019. Ashley’s straight-ahead jazz release features an array of original compositions inspired by the Great American Songbook. Her compositions are unique stories that draw from her own personal experiences, and those of people dear to her. Ashley also showcases her superb ability to tell a story through some of the great jazz standards featured on the album.
