The Vanguard returns to the Velvet Note to bring you a live album recording! Modeled after the classic jazz quintets of the 60s but boasting a jazzfusion attitude laden with energetic dance music ranging from Drum and Bass to Mambo and Swing, Alex Williams will be herding a group of young musicians to record a new acoustic jazz album at the Velvet Note. Prepare for a night of catchy melodies and searing solos! Alex is a graduate of Berklee College of Music’s Master’s Program in Film, TV, and Video Game scoring, and will be leaving soon to pursue a career in Los Angeles, so this will actually be your last chance to catch his group before he crosses the country!

Showtimes:  7:30pm and 9:30pm.   Admission: $25.
