A native of Chicago, Illinois, Alex Lattimore has been compared to such greats as Luther Vandross, Will Downing, and Jon Lucien. After graduating from Morehouse College, Lattimore served as both a horn player and lead/background vocalist with a number of local, national, and international acts, showcasing his talents as a songwriter, arranger, instrumentalist, and vocalist.
Lattimore released his Grammy-nominated solo album Promise in 2008. He can also be heard on A Father’s Love—a tribute to his father and fathers everywhere—and the forthcoming album On the Fence. He has performed at the Atlanta Jazz Festival, National Black Arts Festival, the Capital Jazz Cruise, and venues in and outside of Atlanta.
