A 2015 winner of the Thelonious Monk Vocal Competition, 23-year old Veronica Swift has been gaining attention throughout the jazz world.  She has been performing every Saturday night at New York City’s famed Birdland Jazz Club, where she was also featured as a special guest with John Pizzarelli and with the Django Allstars.  She recently gained the attention of Chris Botti, who has just started using her in his shows. Veronica is the daughter of the late be-bop pianist Hod O’Brien and vocalist Stephanie Nakasian. Her style harkens back to Anita O’Day and June Christie as well as the great vocalese artist, Annie Ross.
