DESCRIPTION:Sheldon Ferguson is a Grammy-nominated guitarist\, international recording artist and multi-platinum selling producer. Originally from Columbia\, South Carolina\, Sheldon currently calls Atlanta\, Georgia home. His music has sold in over 70 countries and made it into the Top 10 on the Smooth Jazz Global Listener Chart. Sheldon has also produced music for Travis Scott\, Chris Brown\, Justin Bieber\, Lil Wayne and many more. Sheldon played guitar on the soundtrack for Oprah Winfrey’s Greenleaf and appeared on the show during seasons 2 and 3. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSheldon Ferguson’s latest album is entitled Love Languages. This project features guest appearances from 10 incredible R&B vocalists as well as two saxophone features from the sensational Allan Knighton and Walter Beasley. All songs were written and produced by Sheldon Ferguson himself\, making it an album that you simply must hear. Love Languages is available now on iTunes\, Amazon and all streaming platforms. \n\n\n\nAs a fifteen-year-old\, 10th grader at Spring Valley High School\, Sheldon started his participation with The Auntie Karen Foundation at the annual Young Entrepreneurs Conference. Even back then\, he was passionate about developing his musical skills. He started taking guitar lessons with Chris Richards of Pecknel Music and had many sessions with recording artist Terence Young. \n\n\n\nAfter high school\, he earned his Bachelors in Professional Music with an emphasis in Performance and Production at Berklee College of Music. In 2011\, Sheldon released his first smooth jazz album\, titled The Brighter Side\, at the age of seventeen. \n\n\n\nSheldon’s music has been sold in over forty different countries and can be heard on jazz stations all over the world. The international radio broadcast\, Talking Smooth Jazz\, considers him a part of the new generation of smooth jazz. In January 2018\, Sheldon released his second album\, Soul Searching\, after a six-year hiatus from releasing music. Soul Searching charted at #7 on the Smooth Jazz Global Listener Chart and #39 on the Top 50 Albums Chart. The album documents a journey of self-discovery\, and Sheldon hopes to inspire others with its message. \n\n\n\nOutside of his work as a jazz artist\, Sheldon Ferguson is Grammy-Nominated studio guitarist whose sound is highly sought after. Sheldon produced the hit song\, Don’t Check On Me by Chris Brown and Justin Bieber\, with over 80 million streams on Spotify. He also recorded guitar on Travis Scott’s Billboard Hot 100 hit\, Yosemite\, which appears on the Double Platinum album\, Astroworld. This song is credited for bringing guitar back into hip-hop\, as mentioned in the Rolling Stone article titled\, Hip-Hop’s Secret Weapon: Acoustic Guitar. He was also featured on the IMAGE award-winning soundtrack for Oprah Winfrey’s Greenleaf\, as well as appearing on the show in Seasons 2 and 3. He holds a Bachelor of Music from Ithaca College\, Ithaca\, NY; a Master of Music in Education from the University of Miami\, and a Doctor of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado\, Greeley. \n\n\n\nAs a professional trumpet player\, he has performed in all musical mediums from symphony orchestra to jazz quartet and has freelanced in Miami\, New York\, Denver\, Kansas City\, and the Caribbean Islands. He is currently active in the Southeast United States as a clinician\, an adjudicator\, and as a freelance trumpet player.

By the age of 2\, he was \nplaying drums for his grandparents gospel quartet then\, \nat the age of 15\, he gained interest in keyboards and \nthe rest is history. From that point on\, anything with\n black and white keys was his playground. He’s performed \nwith and played for celebrities such as\, Anita Baker\, \nRobert Glasper\, Tamela Mann\, Ciara\, Tyler Perry\, and a host \nof others.
