Classically trained\, she started performing \n\n\n\nmusical theater and opera but soon came to love cabaret and jazz\, influenced by legends such as \n\n\n\nElla Fitzgerald\, Barbara Streisand\, Bette Midler\, Mel Torme’ and Linda Ronstadt. \n\n\n\nIn this special performance-by-request\, Wendee’s celebrates the music of one of the greatest–Barbra Streisand. This night of reminiscent fun includes many of your favorites\, including “People”\, “The Way We Were”\, “Don’t Rain on my Parade”\, “Evergreen” and many more!

The group’s name refers to the consistent sentiment expressed by listeners who note the strong connection they display musically among themselves and with their audience. \n\n\n\nThe unique sound of ARConnection can be described as modern post-bop charged with elements of fusion\, electric\, and Latin jazz. Drawing inspiration from music legends including Herbie Hancock\, Brian Blade\, and Chick Corea\, ARConnection’s compelling virtuosic performances honor the finest jazz traditions while also exploring new artistic horizons through the group’s original compositions. A native of Jackson\, Mississippi\, he was raised in a musical household that shaped his expressive tone and artistic foundation from an early age. He earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Jazz Studies from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music\, where he studied under legendary educator David Baker and performed with the IU Soul Revue. \n\n\n\nOver his career\, Burton has performed with icons including Aretha Franklin\, Mary J. Blige\, Jill Scott\, and Anita Baker\, and is currently touring with Usher\, Doja Cat\, and Patti LaBelle. As a recording artist\, he has contributed to projects across jazz\, R&B\, gospel\, and hip-hop\, collaborating with artists including The Jacksons\, PJ Morton\, Lecrae\, Kelly Rowland\, and Kirk Franklin\, among others. \n\n\n\nAs a solo artist\, Burton is focused on building a distinct voice rooted in space\, emotion\, and storytelling through sound.
