SUMMARY:The Billy Thornton Band
DESCRIPTION:Billy Thornton was brought up in a family of musicians in South Georgia\, Tifton to be specific. In the midst of farms\, pickup trucks\, and country music\, Billy and his brothers went against the grain\, learning all of the alternative rock radio hits\, playing them in any coffee shop that would let them (there was only one). With their father\, they played jazz and smooth hits at restaurants and country clubs\, and at 17\, Billy fell in love with the acoustic jazz of the 1950’s and 1960’s. It is this passion for music from all genres that has kept Billy a top call sideman bassist in the southeast for the past 15 years. \n\n\n\nAs an upright bassist\, Billy has been known to “steal the show” with his rhythmic slapping\, melodic bowing\, and expert facility as a soloist. But now he has found his voice. Literally. \n\n\n\nAs a vocalist\, he aspires to honestly portray his emotion of the moment\, sharing his nostalgia for the music while incorporating a jazz musician’s sense of freedom of harmony and rhythm. Billy’s jazz-style arrangements of pop and rock songs from the past four decades mix easily with jazz standards\, surprising his listeners at times. His renditions of song from Nat King Cole to Britney Spears inspire audiences\, transporting familiar favorites to new places of delight. The song selection vacillates easily from contemplative to whimsy\, tender to raucous; all while maintaining integrity to self and the music.   \n\n\n\nAlso featuring Kevin Bales on piano and Darren Stanley on drums.

SUMMARY:BR Jazz
DESCRIPTION:BRJazz is a band based out of Atlanta\, Georgia and formed by a group of musicians with different nationalities. \n\n\n\nBR Jazz provides a taste of brazilian jazz & funk. The music allows us to connect and communicate with each other regardless of where we come from or what language we speak\, but our music is much more than this. Music allows us to feel\, to dream\, to wonder\, and to believe. It is an escape from the worries of everyday life.        The Band features vocalist/guitarist Sander Pinheiro\, drummer Emrah Kotan\, bassman Chocolat Costa\, and on the keys special guest Chris Moten. While Brazilian jazz and funk is our specialty\, we play many styles of music most of which have been influenced by bossa nova\, samba\, blues\, pop\, soul\, and reggae. \n\n\n\nIt is our dream to share our music with the whole world. We look forward to meeting you with our music!

SUMMARY:Krantz\, Carlock and Lefebvre
DESCRIPTION:KCL\, the iconic\, genre-bending powerhouse trio led by visionary guitaristWayne Krantzand featuring drummerKeith Carlock(Steely Dan\, Sting\, John Mayer) and bassistTim Lefebvre(Tedeschi Trucks Band\,David Bowie)\, held a Thursday-night residency at NYC’s 55 Bar throughout the first decade of the new millenium. Cutting live recordings from the club and posting them online in the early days of the internet and touring only sporadically\, KCL developed a thoroughly original style of interactive group improvisation inspired in part by the great Miles Davis Quintet of the 60s\, but played out in spontaneously generated contexts of heavy funk\, rock and electronica instead of straight-ahead swing. \n\n\n\nAs other instrumental bands of the day dabbled in derivative fusion and retro-jazz\, KCL became an underground phenomenon\, cultivating an international following of devoted fans of every stripe looking for an alternative creative music that served the mind\, body and spirit. Relentlessly grooving\, always innovative\, never complacent -KCL made contemporary music that resonated beyond category.Other sideman obligations sidelined the band soon after their Abstract Logix release\, “Krantz Carlock Lefebvre\,” in 2010\, but their reputation continued to expand globally through fan circulation of the band’s many live videos and recordings. Now\, in 2020\, KCL re-ignites to tour with incendiary shows throughout the USA\, Europe and Asia. \n\n\n\nShowtimes: 7:30pm and 9:30pm

DESCRIPTION:Over the past 20 years\, Harris has steadily developed his reputation as one of the finest vocalists of his era. \n\n\n\nRiley is a 22 year old singer/songwriter from the Northern suburbs of Atlanta. Her distinctive sound can best be described pop with an edgy soulful twist. \n\n\n\nRiley has enjoyed singing since she was a young girl\, and at 13 she picked up her first guitar and began writing songs. By age 14\, her open mic performances drew strong local acclaim and quickly transitioned to paid three set performances in venues all over North Georgia. At Age 15\, Grammy winning producer Matt Still (Outkast\, Elton John\, BB King\, Joss Stone\, Lady Gaga\, Patti LaBelle\, Jewel) discovered her singing and songwriting talent on YouTube and took her to Elton John who immediately signed her to his international music management company Rocket Music (Elton John\, Ed Sheeran\,). Governor Nathan Deal presented her with the prestigious Georgia Music Hall of Fame’s Bill Lowery Horizons Award when she was 16. \n\n\n\nRocket music was instrumental in providing Riley with opportunities to develop of her songwriting and vocal skills. Her work with dozens of established writers and producers in Los Angeles\, New York\, Nashville\, Atlanta\, Canada and France led to her signing a publishing agreement on her 18th birthday with the world’s largest publishing company\, Sony/ATV. Riley and Rocket Music parted ways in May of 2015 when Rocket Music closed their North American operations. \n\n\n\nRiley continued to perform solo or with her band in Atlanta\, Nashville\, Los Angeles\, Chicago\, New York and France\, logging over 350 paid performances before the age of 20. Using youtube covers\, many of which were self-produced live recordings\, Riley organically built a huge social media following approaching 400 thousand fans\, including over 262\,000 youtube subscribers and 75 thousand Facebook fans. After leaving Rocket Music and striking out on her own\, Riley decide to audition for Season 9 of the hit television show The Voice. As a member of Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani teams\, Riley used powerful performances to become the first one chair turn\, twice stolen artist to ever make the Voice Live Playoffs. \n\n\n\nUpon conclusion of the Voice Season 9\, Riley and her band were chosen by the international booking agency APA to be the opening support act for Nick Carter’s North American tour which will kick off in Sacramento CA on Feb 24 and cover 24 cities in 32 nights. She released her debut EP on Mar 1st. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRiley performed in the Ryan Seacrest produced YouTube competition series “Best.Cover.Ever” and won the episode earning her the chance to duet with Katy Perry in 2018. \n\n\n\nShe now resides in Los Angeles where she continues to pursue a career as a Singer/Songwriter. \n\n\n\nOver the past 20 years\, Harris has steadily developed his reputation as one of the finest vocalists of his era. \n\n\n\nBrooklyn-born and Harlem-based\, he has forged his sterling credentials through his ten previous albums\, covering a broad range of contexts\, all netted together within the rich territory of the jazz tradition. In addition to his recordings\, he has performed on a worldwide stage that has taken him to prestigious international festivals and halls in Europe\, the Middle East\, and Asia\, as well as the 2012 Olympics in London. \n\n\n\nAt home\, he has toured nationally at festivals and top venues\, including New York’s Lincoln Center and D.C.’s Kennedy Center.
