DESCRIPTION:The Rod Harris Organ Quartet\, featuring Rod Harris\, Jr.\, Scott Giddens\, Larry Wilson and Derrick James. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGrammy Nominated Jazz Guitarist Rod Harris Jr. is becoming a\nprevalent musical force and well known amongst jazz\nguitarists and musicians within the U.S and abroad. After\nspending much of the previous decade (2009 – 2019)\nrecording\, touring and performing with various legendary\nartists spanning multiple genres\, RHJ is emerging as a notable\nartist and jazz guitarist in his own right. In 2016\, RHJ released\nhis debut jazz-funk album “The Counsel Of Elders”\, which pays\nhomage to jazz guitar luminaries Wes Montgomery\, Grant\nGreen\, George Benson\, and Kenny Burrell. In March 2018\, Rod\nreleased his well-anticipated hip-hop/jazz EP entitled “Exits &\nOptions”. The “X/O” Ep features renditions of classic songs as\nwell as original material. In 2018\, RHJ received a Grammy\nNomination for his guitar work and musical contributions on\nNeo-Soul Legend Musiq Soulchild’s album “Feel The Real”. Rod\ncan also be seen performing in the hit film biopics “Cadillac\nRecords” (starring Beyoncé and Adrian Brody) and “Bessie”\n(starring Queen Latifah) and most recently season 2 of BET’s\n“American Soul” (Feb 2020).\nCurrently\, RHJ is touring the east coast U.S with his newly\nformed jazz organ group.
