SHOWTIMES: 7:30PM & 9:30PM. LARRY WILSON is a Cleveland, Ohio native but grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He began his love affair with music at the tender age of 3—playing the drums in church. He began his formal education in music at Landon Middle School for the Performing Arts, later Lavilla Middle School of the Arts. He attended high school at the prestigious Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and went on to attend the Florida State School of Music where he majored in Jazz Studies.
Larry has shared his gift of music abroad, visiting the countries of Spain, France, Ireland, the United Kingdom, the Bahamas, and more. He has also performed with many notable Jazz musicians and artists; some of which include Theo Crocker, Jamison Ross, Marcus Roberts, and many more. He has also appeared with remarkable artists in other genres such as Jennifer Holiday, Kirk Franklin, and Tye Tribbett.
Across his career, Larry has released over 40 albums, two of which have been considered for first-round GRAMMYs. Today, in addition to his work as a producer, headliner and jam-session leader, he is the Founder and leader of the 22-piece Black Gold Orchestra.
