Our popular Legends of Jazz Series begins with a celebration of the music of bandleader and pianist William “Count” Basie.  

Justin Varnes and his quartet will guide guests–in engaging, narrative form– through the life of this legendary artist, as well as the impact that he had on the legacy of jazz.   It’s like taking in a concert and taking a jazz history class at the same time.

Oh, and they’ll also play their behinds off!
